Fighting Hunger & Poverty in Our Communities

On Wed, Jan. 11th, the BreezeMaxWeb® team was able to proudly donate to the Canadian Red Cross Food Drive with a large box of approximately 150 lbs.
Food banks provide a valuable, lifesaving service to over 5.8 million Canadians who are living in food-insecure households. This figure includes 1.4 million children, according to a recent study by the University of Toronto.
Additionally, there have been connections found between food insecurity and detrimental mental health outcomes, such as elevated levels of stress, depression, and anxiety.
Without support from volunteers within the community, food banks are unable to provide for the people who need it most. As long-standing members of the Toronto community, our team recognizes the importance of giving back and helping others who are less fortunate.
The face of hunger is real, and it's close to home. Statistics show that your neighbour, colleague or friend may face food insecurity, quietly unnoticed by others. More than half of Canadians are less than a pay cheque away from dire financial circumstances.
At BreezeMaxWeb®, we believe that nobody should need to face hunger alone. We challenged everyone from our organization to contribute to our food drive with non-perishables. We strongly believe in the principles outlined by Food Banks Canada and the Canadian Red Cross, and this is our small effort to step up and bring positive change in the community.
Every action counts as a small step towards a future where no one goes hungry.
